About
Who am I?
You may be wondering what Visual Design and Tarot have to do with each other. Truth is, nothing. Well, not inherently. See, I hold two formal design degrees: one in Graphic Design & Print Communications, and one in Website Design & Development. I have worked with many clients over the years on a variety or projects from logos and websites, to product packaging, and even a tabletop RPG game with an expansion deck! But something was missing...
I have always been the "mom friend" or the "big sister" type. No matter where I've been, I've always managed to help those around me with advice. Idk it just happens that way 🤷♀️. About a decade ago I started reading tarot for friends and family as a hobby, and would consistently get favorable feedback. But I kept it mostly private, fearing the backlash I'd get online from those who looked down on tarot and spiritual communities, likely a product of growing up in a religious family in the South. Yes, this was a lesson in believing in myself and not being such a people-pleaser (psychology is another huge factor in my work) and I've done a lot of introspection and inner growth over the years.So I thought, why not find and help people who are also in the same mindset as me? And thus, Violet Mystic was poofed into existance! (Well not exactly. In truth, this is my third try, see my Substack!)I combine tarot, applied psychology hacks (ADHD friendly!), and my formal professional background in design to help guide you to a path that's uniquely YOU, branding and all. I work with creatives, spiritual businesses, and those just looking to better themselves (and love gaming, too!)Speaking of gaming, I enjoy games such as Palia, Hell Divers 2, WoW, anything witchy, and the "critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy 14 Online, with its award-winning expansions Heavensward and Shadowbringers, and free trial up to level 80."
